Expectations for the project work

How the participating schools will be involved in this project.

Torva Gymnasiuum:

Our students’ group has chosen one episode of the life of Eleanor (The bondage of love) and starts working on it with the help of IT, history and Art teachers. We are supposed to write a short script about this episode and later create the visual concept with Blender 3D. After testing the final game is publicized on the project website.

Österreichisches Gymnasium Prag

The classes of the 6th grade will occupy themselves interdisciplinary with passagages of the life of Eleanor within history, informatics and art lessons.

In the history lessons there will be a main focus on the period of the High Middle Ages. In the form of presentations the students will collectively acquire knowledges about the historical, cultural and social conditions in that historical period. These presentations will cover the following subjects: society in the High Middle Ages, crusades,  culture and literature, the history of England and France at the turn of the 12th century, the Plantagenets.

In the informatic lessons we will first learn to work with the open source software Blender 3D. Basic skills in modeling and animations will be learned. The next step will be the creation of a storyboard about one episode of Eleanor's life.

In the art lessons the students will produce sketches for the scenes, which will be implemented with Blender 3D later. We will try to create animated characters as well as landscapes and buildings.

In the course of the whole project we will use ICT, such as email or the tools from the project platform to get in touch with other project partners from different countries to work together successfully.
