Blender Workshop in Linz (Austria)
In cooperation with den Austrian Ministery of Education we are proud to announce that a Blender Workshop for teachers will take place in Linz from 19. - 20.10. 2009. Contact us for more information about the Workshop and fundings for teachers.
Assets on the ftp server for download
In order to simplify your project work our trainer Darius Dawidowsky uploaded different assets on our ftp server in the directory "Eleanor-assets". These are models of various objects, figures and buildings which can be extended by the participants. This will simplify and anticipate the 3D modeling with Blender since you won't have to start every object from the beginning. You will also find textures for your models and 2D grafics as well.
First results with Blender from our project teams in Austria, the Czech Republic and Estonia.
Under the menu item "Results" you will find the first results that we have received from the project groups. The students form the ÖGP have modeled buildings and landscapes from Jerusalem. Students form the BG Villach have occupied themselves with modeling various objects, like swords or the interior of a church. Students from the Raatuse Gymnasium have made drawings and wrote a script for an episode of the game.
FTP Server with tutorials and a demo video
We have installed the FTP Server ftp:// ftp.p-o-s-t.org to provide video tutorials for download for you. In the last few days we have not only published new tutorials about clothes and hair for figures, simple animation, modeling castles and landscapes, but also a short demo of a concept for the game. You can download this in the file game_prototype.mp4 from the server.
We are looking forward to get your feedback about this demo and also hope that you might use this as an opportunity to send us your own ideas for the game so they can be discussed with other participants. We have already received an input from the students of the ÖGP, which you can find on the Website at the menu item „Results“.
Example of application of Blender 3D
The open game project team "APRICOT" who is supported by the Blender Foundation and Crystal Space Community has created a cross platform game named "Yo Frankie!". They have used the same open source solutions, Blender 3D and Crystal Space, that are going to be used within our Project "Eleonore Digital::Work Togehter". DETAILS
November 2009: The project team is at the moment preparing the submissions for the Comenius Programme 2009
