Society for the Promotion of Open Source Technology in schools and universities

Our projects only use open source software, therefore there are no hidden costs for schools and students. The Society will only assume a consultative role, and the final word will rest with the students themselves.

The pedagogic focus of our project lies in the methodological and didactic approach to the processes of content knowledge accumulation. The students will not only acquire in-depth knowledge on various contextual aspects of the late Middle Ages but, moreover, establish their own paneuropean study network. In order to accomplish a high degree of efficiency, participants will be guided through this process by experienced pedagogues.

Participants in this project, will develop their critical faculty for media literacy and understanding of gender mainstreaming. A further dividend is the acquisition of skills in the fields of graphic and 3D design, as well as project management and communications.

Especially young women should be encouraged by the project to overcome inhibitions in the use of computers and the virtual space for the purpose of networking and consequently experiencing the empowering potentials that the Internet offers for women.
